The department of oncology is an active part of the institution involving both the medical and surgical units under the guidance of Dr. N. Sudhakar, MD., DM. (Oncology), an experienced oncologist visiting the institution every first Sunday. Dr. Sivaram MS., MRCS., DNB., MCH (Surgical Oncology), Surgical Oncologist & Laparoscopic Surgeon joined as a consultant in the department, further strengthening our surgical oncology capabilities.
We have good facilities and trained staff for efficient administration of chemotherapy to patients who require it. The department also charts out treatment strategy for all malignancy cases with management issues discussed with surgeons and palliative physicians.
Patients requiring radiation therapy are referred to premier institutions including CMC Vellore, RCC Trivandrum, or ICC Neyyoor for specialized care.
