ORGAN DONATION DAY CELEBRATION – 2022
Organ donation day 2022 – Share Life to Save Lives
The day marks its importance for encouraging people to donate organs
On Saturday, 13.08.2022 World Organ donation day was celebrated in Dr.Jeyasekharan Hospital auditorium, program was conducted by Dr. Jeyasekharan College of Allied Health Sciences. In Out Patient Department at 10 am presentation on Organ Donation and Importance of organ donation was presented by Ms. Anto Pani Luxy Cardiac Technology 3rd year student and Mr. Deepan Issak, Dialysis Technology Intern.
On this special day Dr.Ranjit Jeyasekharan, Trustee, Dr.Ninoo George- Consultant Nephrologist, Mrs. Jeyalakshmi-Vice Principal, Mrs.Vannammal- Nursing Superintendent were invited on this day. Hospital auditorium was completely filled by students and staffs.
The program was inaugurated by prayer song by our college choir and welcome speech by Ms.Rushmi, CT 3rdyear student. Then organ donation day awareness presentations were presented by Ms. Anto Pani Luxy (CT 3rd year) and Mr.Deepan Issak (DT intern). An interaction session about organ donation was handled by, Dr. Ninoo George with students and staffs he clarified their doubts. Followed by his interaction, Dr.Renjit Jeyasekharan gave the keynote address.
Then OTAT 1st year students performed mime on the theme “Life can begin after death”. Lastly, Mrs.Sathya, HIC Nurse, concluded with the vote of thanks.
The program ended with the National Anthem.
