B.Sc. Dialysis Technology – I Year Students – Nutrition Cooking DemonstrationApril 10, 2018
On Friday March 23, 2018, Eighteen Ist year Dialysis Technology students of Dr. Jeyasekharan Medical Trust, College of Allied Health Sciences performed Nutrition Cooking demonstration and presentation at 2.30pm in Dr. Jeyasekharan Medical Trust, College of Allied Health Sciences-New Campus Library Hall.
The Students were divided into four groups with different menu plan for a day. The First Group (Group A) demonstrated and displayed the Normal diet of 17 Years Old Adolescent Girl and the Second Group (Group B) demonstrated the Urinary Tract Infection diet and the Third Group (Group C) demonstrated the Pregnant Women with Diabetes Mellitus diet and the Fourth Group (Group D) demonstrated the Sedentary Men with Hypertension diet.
Mrs. Karthiga Dietitian of Dr. Jeyasekharan Hospital & Nursing Home, Mrs. Jeyalakshmi, Course Coordinator and Mrs. Parthalomia Prise, Class Coordinator were guided the students in planning menu and preparation of diet based on menu.
Dr. Sabu Jeyasekharan, Trustee, Dr. Ranjit Jeyasekharan, Trustee and Dr. Renu Devaprasath, Medical Administrator, Mrs. Sujatha Ranjit, Administrator evaluated the student’s demonstration based on Menu Plan and Food Colour, Flavour, Taste, Texture. The students are very actively participated in the demonstration. Through this demonstration students developed cooking skills to make Healthy food choices and Therapeutic diet to teach same to the kidney disease patients.
